MEET THE TEAM

Dr. Melissa Coffey, PsyD.

Melissa Coffey, PsyD, is a doctorally trained psychologist licensed in school psychology and school counseling in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Melissa has a plethora of experience working with individuals of all ages, from as young as 5-years-old throughout adulthood. Melissa specializes in working with children and adolescents in the school setting as well as the clinical setting. Her background includes trauma informed interventions, family systems, psychoeducational assessment, as well as LGBTQIA+ youth. Her research includes implementing positive psychology into complex systems to increase the level of wellbeing in the work environment. Melissa also has experience building needs based groups in an effort for clients to collectively support one another. She is intentional with including trauma informed care into each aspect of sessions. Her theoretical preferences are CBT, DBT, Solution focused, and ACT.

Melissa received her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University and her Doctorate as part of a dual program in School and Clinical Psychology from Rivier University. Along the way she received her Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. Her internship was in Community Mental health and her postdoctoral experience has been both in school based counseling and assessment as well as clinical private practice.

Melissa is taking on new clients ages 5-young adults. Her specialties include, trauma, grief, divorce, family systems, lifespan changes, education difficulties, anxiety, and depression. Outside of work Melissa enjoys teaching in higher ed as well as being mom/stepmom to 4 children who keep her very busy with activities and adventures. She also enjoys going on walks for her mental health, and watching crime documentaries while eating delicious carb-based snacks.


Administrative

Bonnie Gibson, Virtual Assistant

Bonnie Gibson is a dedicated professional with a strong background in membership engagement, administrative support, and business operations. As the founder and owner of Brookridge Services, she provides virtual assistant services, helping Dr. Coffey and our team manage day-to-day administrative work. Bonnie holds a Master’s of Arts in Human Resource Management, with a concentration in Organizational Development and Change Management from National University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Strayer University.

In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, going to Walt Disney World, and her family.


School Psychologists

Alexa Brennan, NCSP

Alexa is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with extensive experience supporting students in public school settings at the elementary and secondary levels. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Villanova University and went on to complete a dual Master's degree in Educational and School Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.

She is certified to practice as a school psychologist in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut. Throughout her career, she has worked collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, support special education eligibility determinations, and promote positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes for students.

In her spare time, Alexa enjoys reading, fitness, and spending time with her husband, son, and dog.

Devon Church, M.Ed., Ed. S.

Devon is a dedicated school psychology professional with a strong commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success. With a background in educational systems and student services, Devon brings a collaborative, student-centered approach to working with children, families, and school teams to ensure every learner has equitable access to support and opportunity.

Devon’s work is grounded in thoughtful assessment, meaningful intervention, and advocacy for students with diverse learning and mental health needs. Whether partnering with educators to problem-solve classroom challenges, supporting eligibility and accommodation planning, or helping schools build inclusive practices, Devon focuses on practical solutions that promote student growth and well-being.

With advanced training in education and psychology, Devon values data-informed decision-making while never losing sight of the individual behind the numbers. Their approach emphasizes relationship-building, clear communication, and collaboration with families and school staff to create environments where students feel understood, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Jennifer Langevin, M.Ed., Ed. S.

Jennifer Langevin is a School Psychologist with 6 years experience serving K–12 students in New Hampshire. She holds an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology as well as a Master’s degree in School Counseling. With experience across Pre-K through 12th grade, Jennifer has conducted comprehensive academic and cognitive assessments and provided counseling support to students with a wide range of learning, emotional, and behavioral needs. Her work focuses on using data-informed practices to support student growth and educational success.

In addition to assessment and counseling, Jennifer collaborates closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective, student-centered interventions. She is committed to supporting the whole child and fostering inclusive, supportive school environments. Jennifer lives in Goffstown, New Hampshire, with her family and is dedicated to serving students and communities throughout the state.

Melanie Connelly, M.Ed., CAGS

Melanie is a licensed school psychologist in Massachusetts and New Hampshire with over 15 years of experience supporting students ages 2–22, primarily in school-based settings. She currently works full-time as an on-site school psychologist at the high school level and has experience serving both suburban and urban school communities. Melanie values strong collaboration with students, families, and school teams to support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth.

Melanie earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and completed both her Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) at Rivier University, where she also serves as an adjunct professor. Outside of work, Melanie is a proud parent to a high school freshman and a sixth grader and enjoys spending much of her free time at sporting events cheering on her two favorite athletes, along with her beloved pitbull, Lynda.


Supervising Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Alexandra Vlahakes, PsyD.

Dr. Alexandra Vlahakes, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides clinical supervision while Dr. Coffey is on her path to state licensure. Dr. Vlahakes has extensive experience in evidence-based treatments, including Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She also has a background in forensic neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Vlahakes specializes in treating borderline personality disorder in her own practice aside from supervision. She also works for an inpatient hospital through Beth Israel Lahey Health as a group clinician and she holds an appointment there as assistant professor in psychiatry.
